Vanilla Ice Cream

I love my Cuisnart Ice Cream Maker

1 c. whole milk, well chilled
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. heavy cream, well chilled
2 tsp. pure vanilla

Whisk to combine the milk and sugar until sugar is dissolved (1-2 minutes)  Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla to taste.  Freeze in ice cream maker

Variations
Mint Chip:  Omit the vanilla and replace with 1 to 1 1/2 tsp pure peppermint.  Chop 4 oz of semit sweet chocolate and add during last 5 minutes of mixing.
